Project Description
According to bank documents, the Urban Services Improvement Sector Project is expected to contribute to the enhanced health of Dili’s population by improving sustained access to safe, 24-hour drinking water supply and improved management of municipal solid waste. Timor-Leste’s urban population is growing rapidly. Dili, the capital city and main commercial center, has a population of around 227,000. The city is growing at an annual average rate of 4.2%, well above the national population growth rate of 2.4%. This project was removed in the bank's project database.
