Dhaka Environmentally Sustainable Water Supply Project

Project Description
This project funds development and improvement of water and sanitation systems in Dhaka to improve the quality of water supplied generally and to low-income communities. This includes a new surface water supply, a water intake at Meghna River, water pipelines, a water treatment plant, and improvements to existing water supply and distribution networks.

The project funding is divided as follows: ADB: US$ 250 million Agence Francaise de Developpement: US$ 64 milion European Investment Bank: US$ 136 million
