LASED II

An Early Warning System short analysis has been published for the World Bank funded Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development II (or LASED II) in Cambodia.  The proposed project would provide a $25 million loan to the Royal Government of Cambodia for the stated aim of supporting the 14 existing Social Land Concessions sites in the five provinces of Kratie, Tbong Khmum, Kampong Thom, Kampong Chhnang, and Kampong Speu. If approved, this project would be one of the first World Bank projects in Cambodia, since the Bank suspended all lending activities in 2011. Read the project analysis here.
