Bioparques 3

An Early Warning System analysis has been published for Bioparques 3, a project proposed for financing by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).  This is IFC’s third investment with Bioparques.  According to IFC documents, a past investment involved the use of forced labor, which highlighted gaps in the company’s labor practices.  This investment will involve acquisition of greenhouses and irrigation equipment, construction of housing facilities for workers, and land acquisition.  Read the short analysis, in Spanish, here.
